Q3 2010 Manpower Employment Outlook Survey

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey for the third quarter 2010 was conducted by interviewing a representative sample of over 2,100 employers in the UK. All survey participants were asked, “How do you anticipate total employment at your location to change in the three months to the end of September 2010 as compared to the current quarter?”

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey is conducted quarterly to measure employers’ intentions to increase or decrease the number of employees in their workforce during the next quarter. It is the most extensive forward-looking survey of its kind, unparalleled in its size, scope, longevity and area of focus. The survey has been running for more than 45 years and is one of the most trusted surveys of employment activity in the world. The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey is based on interviews with over 61,000 public and private employers across 36 countries and territories and is considered a highly respected economic indicator.
